Fun Run 2025
We are excited to let you know that the Nature Kindergarten Children's Fun Run will be returning this year and will be held on Sunday, June 22nd! The Run will be from 10am–11am at Confederation Park. The run is a 1.3km loop of the park. The Fun Run is our main fundraising endeavor of the year. Funds from fundraising are primarily used to support outdoor education with safe and effective student to educator ratios.
All current, past and future Nature Kindergarten students are encouraged to participate as well as inviting friends and family to run the race! Run registration will be in front of the Rosemont Community Association. To participate in the Fun Run, each participant can use the link below to raise pledges, please share this link with your family and friends. Each participant has a goal of raising $150 in pledges. There will be prizes for those that raise the most funds, and some fun race prizes as well!
Nature Kindergarten Children's Fun Run Pledge link
Please use this sign up link to register your child for the run and this link to send to family and friends to raise money in pledges (On the second page of the site it will ask which race participant they are pledging for). Adults do not need to register or raise pledges, but are welcome to join children in the Fun Run.
Please feel free to share information about the Fun Run with your family and friends. All are welcome !!
Volunteering for the Fun Run
If you have not completed your volunteer hours, the Fun Run is a great opportunity to volunteer (this community event could not happen without amazing volunteers like yourselves). Volunteer duties include set-up/ take-down, registration, course marshals, prize collection/ goodie bags. Please send Aurora Spoering an email at aurora.spoering@gmail.com if you are able to help out!
Bottle Drive
We will also have a bottle depot truck on the same day as our Fun Run – Saturday, June 22!
If you have empty bottles or cans with a refundable deposit, we would be so grateful for your donations. A truck will be available on-site that day to collect any bottles you’d like to drop off. It’s a great opportunity to support our school while enjoying a fun-filled day together!
Mabel’s Labels
Children's Commons Ecological Society has partnered with @mabelslabels to help our families label their children's clothing, water bottles, and lunch kits!
If you are interested in getting some labels, go to Mabel’s Label Website and look up the school name "Calgary's Nature Kindergarten". Labels you purchase go to support our program and help your children keep track of their things.
